What many people do not realise is that there are specific Disney Cast Members who will trade pins with you and explain all about collecting Disney Pins when you are at a Disney Park or Resort or Cruise.

They wear special Trading Lanyards and will be happy to tell you how it works. Always have a few of your own Pins so that you can trade with them.

They wear the pins they have available to trade on their lanyards.

Cast members with GREEN Lanyards will ONLY trade with Children (I think thats a great idea !)

You may also trade with visitors wearing lanyards but they may not want to trade so be very polite when asking or when someone asks you to trade.

Some visitors at a Disney Theme Park wear lanyards with their pins and these are usually willing to trade pins.

However a few Pin Collectors just wear their pins to show off so do not be disappointed if they refuse.

Please remember that you are not allowed to trade pins within the Tokyo Disneyland Theme Park. All the Other Disneylands are ok though !

The easiest way to start a Pin Collection is to buy one of the Pin Lots that sometimes come up on our offered auctions.

This is a superb way to start collecting Disney Pins.These sometimes have great bargains so examine them closely.

To safely store your pin collection, Disney have thoughtfully brought out a range of Pin Binders which will keep your Mickey Pins in pristine condition and free from scratches.

Mickey and the lovely Minnie Mouse starred {first | early on |in their first film in the Movie Plane Crazy, was first shown on May 15, 1928. The short was co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Iwerks was also the top animator for this short, and reportedly spent six weeks working on it. It is said, Iwerks was the top Cartoonist for all Disney short released in 1928 and 1929. Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising also helped Walt Disney in the early years. Although they were signing their contracts with Charles Mintz, but he was still in the process of forming his new studio and so for the time being they were still employed by Walt Disney . This short would be the last they animated under this somewhat awkward situation.
