Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse starred {first | early on |in their first movie together in the cartoon Plane Crazy, which was screened first on May 15, 1928. The film was co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks.Ub Iwerks was also themain animator for this short, and reportedly spent six weeks working on it. The Rumour was , Iwerks was the main animator for everyWalt Disney short released in 1928 and 1929. Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising also aided Walt Disney at the start of the Disney career. Although they were signing their contracts with Charles Mintz, but he was still in the process of forming his new studio and so for the time being they were still employed by walt. This movie would be the final movie they animated under this somewhat awkward situation.
