I found a couple of animated gifs that were made from an old black and white film. There is a clip of a pig, sticking his tongue out and laughing, a cat playing a cello, a mickey mouse lying on the curb in convultions...?!

It may be Laurel and Hardy's "March of the Wooden Soldiers" (aka Babes in Toyland). I still have to find the scenes that I am familiar with to confirm.

It could be Krazy Kat, which truly was a bizarre series of cartoons, back when they were shown before movies. His pal is Ignatz the Mouse.

The Rumour was , Iwerks was the main animator for Each Walt Disney short released in 1928 and 1929. Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising also aided Disney at the start of the Disney career. Although they were signing their contracts with Charles Mintz, but he was still in the process of forming his new studio and so for the time being they were still working for and employed by Walt Disney . This cartoon would be the last they animated under this somewhat awkward situation.
