Orlando is known for theme parks. Thousands of people use Orlando hotels as their base as they set out to enjoy Orlando's incredible theme parks. Walt Disney World is by far Orlando's most popular theme park. Divided into Universal Studios, Epcot Center and the Magic Kingdom, Disney World has something for just about everyone. Adults and children interact with the Disney characters they have grown to know and love. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Bambi have entertained for over fifty years. Today the Little Mermaid, Fantasia and the Lion King have captured the hearts of a new generation.

Disneys Mickey and the lovely Minnie Mouse starred {first | early on |in their first made their first appearance in the film Plane Crazy, which was released on May 15, 1928. The film was co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks.Ub Iwerks was also the top animator for this short, and reportedly spent six weeks working on it. It is said, Iwerks was the chief Artist for Each of Disneys short released in 1928 and 1929. Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising also assisted Disney in the early years. They had already signed their contracts with Charles Mintz, but he was still in the process of forming his new studio and so for the time being they were still working for and employed by walt. This cartoon would be the last they animated under this somewhat awkward situation.
