Your guest list should consist of all those people who truly matter and who care in your life, so when they are invited your invitation should have some thing that touches the heart of all that are invited.

There are some truly wonderful first birthday invitation ideas out there these days, which would make this special occasion in your life even more memorable. Before you are given any kind of ideas, there are some certain pointers that should be followed. Even with all the available designs and ideas that are out there for you to choose from for your child's birthday invitation, which will help keep the invitation simple and personalized.

So, let us start with the elemental idea of sending a plain invitation card with the date, venue, and the occasion. In this case, you can use words, which are special, and significant for the occasion, like a little rhyme, which might include the child's name or the name of the guest.

Secondly, if you want to personalize a little more you can get the baby's picture on the card with the message on it. I hate cats. No, the more correct term would be afraid of. I'm afraid of those feline creatures, so much that whenever I see a likeness of a cat, I hurry off to the other direction. And when I say likeness, I mean anything that is remotely close to a cat. Hello Kitty is not an exception. Whenever somebody gives me a Hello Kitty item, I vehemently refuse to touch it. I don't care if they could see that I am not pleased with their choice of gift, I won't lay a hand on it. They can call me rude but isn't more uncouth to give somebody something they are terrified of? Yeah. That's what I thought.

I am not much of a dog fan either. I got bitten by one mean supposed-to-be man's best friend and that one experience is enough to turn me off canines. Compared to cats, I have really nothing against them. I figured my neighbor's vicious dog thinks it is expected of him to sink his sharp teeth on anyone who comes through the white gate since I was not the only kid in the neighborhood who was bitten. However, you still won't see me cuddling a puppy no matter how cute or lovable or how much of a darling it is. Sure, Snoopy is cute and the black and white combination is such a nice touch but Charlie Brown's extrovert beagle does not do a thing for me.

While everybody else is filling their room with Hello Kitty and Snoopy stuff like pillowcases, lamps, and clocks, I was searching for an animal character that is perfect for my taste. I said no to Garfield, of course. Donald Duck has a weird voice. Bugs Bunny is too smart for my liking. Tweety Bird is so childish. Taz cannot talk and eats garbage. Winnie the Pooh always seems like stuffing honey into his mouth. Eeyore is depressing. I could go on and on.

I'm sorry if you idolize some of the characters I mentioned, I'm not trying to start a fight with you. I'm merely stating facts as to why I did not choose them as my animal hero. I may come across as a picky person but if I have one shot at choosing my favorite animal cartoon character I might as well be as selective as I can be.

I woke up earlier than usual one Saturday morning and instead of Huckleberry Hound singing "Oh my darling, oh my darling Clementine", the TV screen was all about Mickey Mouse. I heard of Mickey prior to that Saturday (who hasn't anyway?) but I haven't watched any of his shows yet. So while I was pouring milk to my bowl of Trix, I settled in the living room and glued my eyes in the telly. Since then, my Saturday mornings starts at eight instead of nine.

I love Mickey Mouse. I can't really pinpoint the reason why but from the time I watched him in the tube, I became a fan. He tries so hard to impress Minnie and he is such a good owner to Pluto. He is not childish or cunning. Mickey is so ordinary, he seems like a real human being.

Even now that I am already nearing my twenty second birthday, I still collect Mickey Mouse items. I have posters, DVDs of his shows, and comic strips. I have a bunch of towels, bed sheets with matching pillowcases, alarm clock, wall clock, wrist watch, necklace, bracelet, desk lamp, you name it. I don't know when I'll stop looking for Mickey Mouse on every item imaginable, probably never.

Preparing for preschool party games could be a head-ache when you will find so several objects to take care of within the celebration preparing procedure.As a frequent party organizer, I can totally understand so I am going to share with you some of the most popular preschool party games:

3 Popular Preschool Party Games

(A) Hot Potato

This game is so easy that all you need to get prepared is one potato!

First, ask the kids to sit down in a circle and select a "leader" (usually the birthday boy or girl) Then, the leader begins by passing the potato towards the youngster sitting subsequent to him/her and has to look to the other side or get blindfolded once the passing has started. The kids has to keep passing the potato and once the leader shouts "Hot Potato!", then the youngster who holds the potato is out. Continue to play till there's only 1 youngster left, and s/he turns into the winner!

Again, the potato can be replaced by something related to the theme of your party for extra fun.

(B) Pin The Tail

This is another classic game that is suitable for children in a wider age range. You will need to do some preparation work but it can be easily done.

Get a big piece of newspaper (or adhere a number of items of newspaper together) and draw a donkey. Then, draw a tail on a separate sheet and cut it out. Make a tail for each participant.

Right before the game, secure a double-sided tape on the tip of every donkey tail. Choose a youngster (usually the birthday kid) and blindfold him/her. Ask the children to take turns to get blindfolded and stick the tail to the suitable location on the donkey. three. The child who sticks the tail towards the closest position where it ought to be is the winner.

For extra fun, you can customize your "donkey" and "tail" to a character that fits your party theme, be it Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, Barney or Princess parties.

(C) Duck Duck Goose

This is really a classic game for toddlers and they are probably familiar with the rules at school. As you can see, this games do not require any props or preparation so it is really convenient for the organizers (i.e. you!)

First of all, ask the kids to sit down inside a cir. Choose a youngster (usually the birthday child) to be the duck. Then, the duck will tab the kids randomly. If the child say duck, then nothing occurs; but if s/he says goose (frequently extremely loud), then the "goosed" youngster needs to chase the duck. In the event the goose fails to catch the duck, then s/he turns into the "duck" within the subsequent round. However, if the duck is successfully caught, then the duck needs to sit down in the "soup", i.e. the middle with the circle till an additional duck is caught in later rounds.

Growing up, I've noticed (in black culture mostly - or maybe it's just my family but), as babies/children the parents pretty much spoil the kid with a certain cartoon character like Tweety, Daisy Duck, Lola Bunny, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Princess, Barbie, SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer, etc. Maybe parents don't do it as much anymore but yea, do you have a favourite?

As for me, when I was in middle school, like 13, this guy used to randomly call me "Betty" from Betty Boop. When it comes to choosing big stuffed animals, like with dolls, it is the facial features that are the key to their attraction. That is closely followed by the feel of their 'fur' or skin and then the stuffing. In addition, how closely big stuffed animals look like the animal they were modelled after, goes a long way to deciding which ones will get chosen.

It goes without saying that the success of the teddy bear, no matter if it is just two inches in size or lifesize, it's simply phenomenal. Some of the more famous bears such as Winnie the Pooh, Rupert, and Paddington (named after the London railway station) first made their appearance in children's books and comics before they became the subject of character merchandise. This lucrative character merchandising first began when Beatrix Potter gave her publisher the right to reproduce her illustrations of the popular character Peter Rabbit, as a soft toy in 1903. Other characters, such as Mrs. Tiggiwinkle have since joined Peter Rabbit in the soft toy world.

The first registered Peter Rabbit was based on a doll Beatrix Potter had made herself and can be seen in a photograph as an upright rabbit made of fur wearing his signature waistcoat. Today, they are all part of big stuffed animal collections and Peter Rabbit (like others) has been modified to remain in line with modern materials. Mickey and Minnie Mouse of Walt Disney fame, first appeared in black and white strip cartoons in the early 1930s. Mickey's image was later modified to the smiling mouse, accompanied by Minnie, as we know them today. While strict licensing agreements protect his use, soft toy versions of the iconic couple can be found the world over.

Some original big stuffed animals were even jointed so their arms, legs, and head could move. The softness of the 'fur' and angles of the arms and legs to the body makes them easy to cuddle, and with faces and gazing eyes they become animals to confide in. From the beginning, some big stuffed animals like teddy bears, even had squeaker or growl activation by pushing in their stomach, and more recent developments have included electronics so that they can speak.

While the history of the first plush toy - the teddy bear - may be long forgotten by some, that has not changed the fact that whole shops and exhibitions are devoted to this bear. Even as a symbol, the teddy bear outline implies childhood and security and is often used by charitable organizations for fund raising events.

Looking back to where soft toys first came from, the quantities and varieties of big stuffed animals has never been as large as they are today. While some may incorporate electronic sounds and movements, and others are super-soft and snugly, with many produced in both colors and textures far removed from the original form they are replicating, it does not change the fact that the allure of big stuffed animals is timeless.
