High school girls basketball notes: Del Oro takes over at No. 1

Del Oro has moved to the top of The Bee's girls basketball rankings after finishing 2-2 and beating Hanford 53-52 for ninth place in the star-studded Platinum Division of the 152-team West Coast Jamboree in Antioch last week.

Mickey and the lovely Minnie Mouse starred {first | early on |in their first debuted in the cartoon Plane Crazy, which was screened first on May 15, 1928. The movie was co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks.Ub Iwerks was also themain animator for this short, and reportedly spent six weeks working on it. In fact, Iwerks was the main animator for every of Disneys short released in 1928 and 1929. Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising also aided Walt Disney at the start of the Disney career. Although they were signing their contracts with Charles Mintz, but he was still in the process of forming his new studio and so for the time being they were still working for and employed by Walt Disney . This cartoon would be the final movie they animated under this somewhat awkward situation.
